DECLARATION OF HOMESTEAD

A Declaration of Homestead allows you, the homeowner, to exempt up to $150,000.00 (under certain circumstances) from a judgment which a creditor may obtain against you.  A Declaration of Homestead is a simple legal document which can help to protect your house and property in times of economic hardship... it's a short form that can sometimes prevent the attachment of your land and dwelling by creditors.
